A Candy Board is used to feed winter patties or fondant during the winter. The wire will allow the bees to have access from below. A sheet of newspaper could be set on the wire with sugar to help absorb moisture and for the bees to eat during the winter.  Easy way to feed your bees without disturbing the hive.
